An interactive, high-tech gaming company that recently went viral on social media is opening its first Austin location this week — its sixth in Texas.

An interactive game room experience called Activate will open an Austin facility on Tuesday, Dec. 17 in The Domain.

City council members this week approved plans for Activate Games to locate within the Fox River Commons shopping center on Route 59 between LaFox and Ogden Ave. Activate Games would take over an 11,900-square-foot storefront within the center.

Activate will offer FREE admission during its grand opening weekend from Friday, Oct. 11 to Sunday, Oct. 13

Cam checks out the brand new Activate indoor gaming facility at Polaris that features hundreds of combinations of 1-3 minute games with varying difficulty levels.

A new interactive space will take the controller out of players' hands and put them in the games instead.
